PETG & PET
PETG Polyester terephthalate glycol (PETg) is an ‘easy to use’ water clear material, for all types of applications. PETg is a rigid sheet that has high transparency and toughness which it retains even at low temperatures. It is easy to machine and fabricate including cold bending and is suitable for printing.
PETg has excellent chemical resistance and is suitable for contact with foodstuffs and medical applications.
PETg has outstanding thermoforming properties. It allows extreme draw definition and is formed at relatively low temperatures therefore requiring little energy consumption and there is no need for predrying.
PET
PETis a polyester sheet with exceptional cold bending properties but is not suitable for most thermoforming applications. PET has a better fire resistance than PETg and contains no halogens so is fully recyclable.
PET is FDA approved and is ideal for flat sheet applications, such as poster framing, safety visors and point of sale.
